About (關於)
Canton168 is dedicated to the promotion of Cantonese culture as a whole. We are a team dedicated to spreading, informing and preserving our language and history as a whole. As a society, if we are to lose our language, we will inevitably lose our culture and ultimately lose our history.
We are not limited to only Canton (廣州) where the heart of Standard Cantonese is, but rather the entirety of Guangdong (廣東) including but not limited to Zhongsan (中山), Fosan (佛山), Namhoi (南海), Toisan (台山), Yunping (恩平), Sunwui (新會), Dongguan (東莞), Jiangmen (江門), Shenzhen (深圳), Zhanjiang (湛江), Macao (澳門), Zhuhai (珠海), Panyu (番禺), Fayun (花縣), Maoming (茂名), Hoiping (開平), Shunde (順德), Hong Kong (香港), and Heshan (鶴山).
In addition we may also focus on other related aspects such as Hakka (客家), Teochew (潮州), Fujian (福建), Hainan (海南), Guangxi (廣西), Taiwan (臺灣), Mainland (大陸) and Overseas Chinese (海外華人) as well.
Although we encourage the celebration of Cantonese pride culture, we also at the same time condemn and prohibit acts of hate and racism towards other cultures and people. We hope you enjoy our culture as much as we do.

Hi Canton 168, just curious but in your humble opinion – what are the Most Common Cantonese Dialects in the U.S. (aside from HK Cantonese) but from the surrounding regions of Canton. Is it Jongsanese, Toisanese, Saiyip, or any others? Thanks much, appreciate your thoughts.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT PROTEST OR HOPE FOR HONGKONG TO BECOME INDENPENDANT AS A SELF-GOVERNING STATE ITSELF NOT IN THE HANDS OF CHINA, DO YOU THINK THIS WILL EVER BE ACCOMPLISHED. I ACTUALLY SUPPORT THIS, BECAUSE IT WOULD REALLY HELP PRESEVRVE CANTONESE CULTURE IN GENERAL
